- An Ode to Design, from lifelong learners of design
- Caught in the middle of a vociferous freedom struggle and in the aftermath of the partition of Bengal, the great poet Rabindranath Tagore had written –
- “Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
- Where knowledge is free
- Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
- By narrow domestic walls
- Where words come out from the depth of truth
- Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
- Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
- Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
- Where the mind is led forward by thee
- Into ever-widening thought and action
- Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”
It is that very freedom of expression that we aim to provide to the most creative minds of the country, the students of Indus Design School. The blog is a platform to the design ecosystem Indus University to voice their opinions, showcase their creativity and start a creative discourse on topics of their interest that may or may not be addressed in the academic routine of the student life. Indus Design School aims to document and archive the opinion pieces, writings, experiences and creativity of all of their stakeholders – the faculties, the students, the alumni and from time to time, the Industrial experts associated with us. As we believe that all of us that are a part of the design ecosystem as at the Indus Design School are lifelong learners of design, the blog will be our personal ode to the design symbolizing our journey, chronicling our growth and crafting out a celebration of our creativity!
