Soumita is a Sustainable fashion designer by education, an artist by passion and a design educator by profession. With a senior diploma in Fine Arts, she has completed her formal education from National Institution of Fashion Technology, India. She has one year of professional training in various departments of Design, with which she forwarded her career in sustainability and academics. Beginning as a Sustainable Fashion Designer & a Trend Forecaster, in 2021, she finally proceeded with being a design educator. She was honoured for her extraordinary work with the “”Most Meritorious Student Award – 1st Place”” from NIFT, Kannur. She is highly passionate about anything “”Made with Hands”” – Fabrics, garments, illustrations, paintings, upcycling, deconstruction and many more. She is also a traveller, who believes that exploration of life & nature is not limited to a space or a number of people.”
