Different types of textile dyeing techniques are practically performed throughout India, especially in the Western part of the country. It is very crucial for students to learn different types of dyeing techniques practically and theoretically to understand how to ornament textiles and develop prototypes from that. The Fashion Design Department at Indus Design School had organised an engaging workshop led by a guest lecturer, Ms. Rimpal Vora, who is also a faculty of NIFT, Gandhinagar, focusing on techniques of tie and dyeing, batik, and block printing. Over the course of three days, the students immersed themselves in hands-on learning, mastering these traditional textile art forms and creating amazing swatches. The workshop not only provided valuable skills but also fostered a sense of enjoyment and creativity among the students, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of textile design.
